...the Editorial Board was provided the opportunity to draft a factual analysis of all the POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE policies by EACH candidate during their tenures at the White House, and how these policies affected the nation. Instead of adopting this path as suggested, the Editorial Board chose to remain silent...

As an Independent, I didn't like either candidate, mostly because of the age factor. So how do I make a reasonable choice based on their policies and history?

No publication, progressive or otherwise, made an unbiased analysis as suggested by the LA Times owner. None. Even my Sample Ballot was of no help.

So, for the past three months, I've been trying to put together such a comparison based on multiple sources, including the New Your Times, the Washington Post, New York Post, Wall Street Journal, and other sources both Right and Left.

Once I did that research, the obvious choice became clear.

One other thing became clear as well: the Democratic Party is a Racketeer Influenced Criminal Organization, based on their lawfare and apparent dependence on assassination. Not to mention the disaster of their fiscal policies across the board, in Congress as well as in the Executive.

In consequence -- for the first time in more than 40 years -- I voted against any candidate with the Mark of the (D). After casting my vote, I further researched the (D) candidates and realized this was a reliable filter.

Does this make me a Republican? No. There are aspects of the Republican party that repulse me, and I as one person can do very little to change it. I am a strict Constitutionalist, with an emphasis on small government and local government. Republicans have as a group suffer from the same "mission creep" as the group across the aisle.

I'm also repulsed by the legacy media, but that's a rant for another time.
