How many times has President Trump been called a marketing genius? This weekend he proved it beyond any argument. Behold, this morning’s liberal-triggering headline from the Associated Press: “Trump works the fry station and holds a drive-thru news conference at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s.” President Trump was anointed the real working-class champion. And the Burger King.
If President Trump is the Burger King, then Kamala Harris must be the Hamburglar. The whole thing started after, as part of her carefully-manicured middle-class persona, Kamala often claimed to have worked a summer college job at McDonald’s. Trump called her a big, fat, Indian-Jamaican liar, which should have given Kalama the ability to destroy the Donald with a single W-2 form.
But Kamala has never produced any evidence of her McDonald’s job. Not a single witness. No coworkers or dorm roommates who remember. Not even a college acquaintance who stopped by the restaurant.
Instead, perhaps sensing the Cackler’s weakness, corporate media has covered the story by carping how Trump never produced any evidence. He’s somehow supposed to deliver conclusive proof that Kamala never worked at McDonald’s.
But what evidence would suffice to prove something never happened?
Would he need to get an affidavit from everybody who worked at McDonald’s 40 years ago? Regardless, it seems President Trump got sick of playing the media’s ‘no evidence’ game. So yesterday, as you’ve almost certainly already heard, the Don donned an apron, salted potatoes at the french fry station, and served Pennsylvanian supporters through the drive-thru window.
“I’ve now worked at McDonald’s fifteen minutes longer than Kamala,” Trump informed reporters, fifteen minutes into his shift.
It was a simple political stunt —nobody except joyless partisan Democrats think Trump actually worked at McDonald’s— but it went over like two tons of political fireworks all exploding at once. Conservatives, who already loved President Trump, loved him even harder:
Media exploded. It didn’t want to cover the story, but it was unavoidable. There’s something fascinating and wholly unusual, if not historic, about a billionaire working a minimum-wage job at the french fry station. Nearly every corporate media platform ran some sort of story about Trump’s fast food affair. Within just four hours, the TikTok of Trump serving regular folks from the drive-thru got 9 million views and 1.6 million likes.
What’s not to like about Trump’s day of entry-level labor? For leftists, plenty. Partisan democrats complained that Trump wasn’t actually working there. Like, he didn’t go through the application process, fill out a W-4 form, and get a paycheck. It was fake!

Somebody said the “fry stunt” amused conservatives. No doubt. But there was a larger point. It showed that DJT recognizes the work ethic down to what many would call a “menial task” level. But he gave it dignity, and by extension every other work/task that anyone in “flyover country” does. The elites, including Kammie and Tampon Tim, think only lawyering, doctoring. professoring or investment banking are real jobs and everyone else is beneath them. But regular people, doing ordinary jobs could relate and enjoy.
If this was a “stunt”, it was brilliant and effective on so many levels.
Trump must do both of those activities.
We don't have a world where most people decide who is to lead based on rational consideration of "issues".

A stunt yes, but a brilliant one. Once again shows that Trump has his finger on the pulse of the nation as a populist. That 15 minute stunt may well have won him the election.

This is one of my favorite things he has ever done. He acted genuinely interested in learning how things were done. He didn’t condescend. He didn’t look like a fake. Loved it!
What struck me (and probably millions of people) was that as he’s talking to the people in the drive-through, or the guy training him to do the fries, or the camera - he is EXACTLY the same guy we see talking at rallies, press conferences, debates, town halls, funerals, meeting with heads of state - whatever.
He is always just being himself - what-you-see-is-what-you-get: A genuine guy who is cheerful, honest, smart, hard-working, pleasant, and respectful - and who thinks for himself and tells us what he is really thinking.
Contrast that with these DEI phonies the Democrats choose, who constantly put on fake accents and tell lies to try and be something they are not.
Somehow we lucked out and got a real POTUS, not a phony. I guess it happens every forty years or so.
Eisenhower at the beginning of my life (1952), Reagan in the middle, and now Trump/Vance for the home stretch…. :-)

Sure it was a campaign stunt, but it showed people the human side of Trump. The left and the media are accusing Trump of being a dictator and another Hitler, but Trump despite being a billionaire is quite likable and easily and sincerely mixes with everyday folks. Kamala had to make up her McDonalds career to camouflage her elite upbringing and totally phony middle class narrative.
Everyone in the world is going to steal that line today.
The MSM had their chance to laugh off Harris’ likely lie, and they blew it. Now it’s the Trump campaign who is laughing at the great Stolen McValor scandal. Who laughs, lasts.
Unlike Dukakis who looked silly in that tank helmet, Trump looked like a regular guy wearing a kitchen apron—someone you could hang out with and shoot the breeze. And I’m betting that there are so many Americans that can relate to it. Most of us have been there doing nearly identical stuff in our entry level employment days.
Trump’s superpower is that he actually enjoys this.
It would be a great troll to have his campaign fill out an application and a W-4 and actually get a paycheck for that mini-shift he pulled.

And he says something we don’t say often: It’s so much fun to be on the MAGA side. kaMAla’s bunch has zero sense of humor.
The difference is that when Dukakis in the tank, and Kerry in the bunny suit, pulled their stunts they were trying to look serious.
Trump was partly tongue-in-cheek, but partly serious, too. The best thing was trolling kaMAla with Alinsky’s Rule #5 re ridicule. It doesn’t get any better than that!
