I listened to the town hall on the Internet. It was truly one of a kind. It started out normal enough with the South Dakota governor Kristi Noem moderating and bringing forward attendees from the audience to ask questions. There were several good questions. A highlight was when Charles and Mary Ann Strange parents of deceased petty officer Michael Strange who was attached to Seal Team 6 and died in the infamous chopper shoot down of the Extortion 17 mission came forward. They asked him to investigate and get to the bottom of what happened to their son and ST-6. Trump promised the parents that when he became president he would get to the bottom of the inexplicable shoot down. After several other questions things sort of went off the rails. It was hot and ‘tight’ in the packed room with no air conditioning and two attendees fainted, one shortly after the other. While they were being tended to and the audience was waiting, Trump asked the production crew to play Pavarotti’s Ava Maria, after which he asked for Hallelujah to be played. Then he said let’s make this into a music festival, who the hell wants to do questions anyway. So more music continued with such selections as Nothing Compares to You, November Rain, It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World. Finally after about 40 minutes he closed with YMCA. No one wanted to leave. Trump was dancing along as the music played having a great time. Later he mingled with the audience and signed autographs.
