I’m sure that the current so efficient justice dept. and the Eff Bee Eye will find answers for all those questions forthwith as soon as they find the appropriate patsy in case this loser doesn’t fit the bill adequately.

“”””36k a year this year doesn’t mean he made the same or less prior years.””””

He has spent his whole working life in a world of cash being king if one is a shady contractor, and where a lot of cash is paid to even a straight laced contractor, he probably has a go to figure that he uses for the IRS.

Nah, he is the patsy. A certified lunatic with a major malfunction.
But I’ll reserve full judgement until more information is revealed.
Sometime in the 2050’s give or take.

That’s my take as well.

“When a judge asked Routh a series of questions to determine if he qualified for a public defender, Roth said he earns a monthly income of around $3,000, owns two trucks in Hawaii that are worth approximately $1,000 each, owns no real estate and has “zero” savings.”

The house he was living in in Hawaii probably belongs to his girlfriend, so no mortgage payment or rent. His ex-wife owns the house in North Carolina.

He could have scraped together enough to fly to Poland, possibly with the help of donations as so many of his type did at the tume. He may have continued to get donations for a little while after arrival, possibly a little help from his fellow grifters.

Then, with such low living expenses, he could conceivably have swung the flight to Florida and a cheap SKS.

Numerous news articles stated the license plate on the black SUV he was driving in Florida was stolen. Only one article said the SUV itself was stolen, and is likely in error (confused with plate). No word on where and how he got the SUV. Rented? Borrowed? Stolen? And no word on the gun, either.

One news article said the tiny homes he was building were made of plywood. Good enough for the homeless, I guess he thought, with plenty of room for profit off that NGO. Sigh.

We will be lucky to have something resembling the real story on JFK by then.

If Routh and son had a ‘falling out’. why would he bother telling his son that he would be at the beach. If I don’t want contact with someone, the last thing I expect or want would be unimportant small talk.

I’m interested in the rifle, wondering if it is one of his own that he had stashed for years.

It needn't be a serious crime. I knew a guy that had an AR over at a former Marine buddy’s house, for him to check out. The dude did something stupid, got the cops in his house, and the gun went bye-bye. A lawyer told him the time and money to get it back would be more than just buying a new gun. The rifle probably went to a police auction, and ended up in some cop’s collection.

I’m sure the alphabet agencies get their mitts on lots of guns that nobody will miss. And they could procure guns off the books as easily as anyone else could.

I read that the guy is facing a max of 20 years, just on the felon-in-possession and obliterated serial # charges.

I’m leaning towards a scene scrubbed of fingerprints, and an “untraceable” gun left behind. Armor plates in backpacks hung on the fence as a shield....Shoot, and walk away. More sophisticated than the *ahem* alleged patsy in Butler, PA.

SKS is generally junk

BUT much more accurate than an AK. this is more believable than the guy waiting 300 yards out with an AK. he'd be lucky to hit a barn at that distance

That’s a very good guess. Question is, how/where did he stash it? He could not have got it on the plane from Hawaii.

Perhaps he travelled back to his old stomping grounds in North Carolina? Did he leave it with a buddy? If so, and the buddy lived within driving distance ...

I suppose he could have shipped it from Hawaii to a hotel where he had a reservation before he left ... I don’t know anything about shipping a gun from Hawaii to the mainland, whether that’s doable or not.

“....Is this guy part of a conspiracy? Or a lone gunman? If he’s part of a conspiracy, then this whole thing takes on a really ominous tone......”

The attempted assassin is being sponsored by a state organization. The only two questions are (1) which state and (2) will the NSA, CIA, and FBI allow the public to know......or is it a US federal government agency that supplied the money and intelligence information?

Could be. He likely came up with the idea to try to assassinate Trump himself, though. He was obviously going to great lengths to try to make a big splash in the headlines with his crazy schemes and delusions of grandeur. But all his crackpot schemes had failed to achieve that.

Well, looks like this scheme succeeded, only not as he probably envisioned. He’s in the headlines for sure.

He likely thought he’d be a big hero for taking out the “danger to our democracy” who is “literally Hitler” according to the Democrats and their wholly-owned media machine. Yes, headlines galore and one for the history books.

Too bad, so sad, everyone is calling him a fruitcake instead.

I think a SKS is basically a semi automatic, an AK fully automatic.

I'm not sure if an AK has a semi automatic mode but I'd guess it does.

Anyhow, a good Ruskie SKS, properly sighted with quality ammo is no joke. A poor mans sniper rifle.

I think a lot of regular people have a difficult time understand how unstructured a guy like this can live, the variety of his type of friends and guys he knows, he is a Southern man and completely a blue collar American who has lived a loosey goosey life and has a life that is very different from the typical suburbanite and office people.

Ok loosey goosey, how does he pick up that rifle with the scratched up serial # ? Did he pick it up at the local flea market or something ?

I’ll wait.

“Perhaps he travelled back to his old stomping grounds in North Carolina? Did he leave it with a buddy?”

I believe I read that his daughter still lives in NC, and that it was her car he was driving — with stolen license plates.
