No meat, fish or poultry makes the diet very difficult to meet complete protein needs.

Agreed. A diet like this is WAY too low on protein.

A 180 lb person should have 135-180 grams of high quality protein every day.

This AI suggestion probably has a third of that.

Add some ground turkey To the dinner, or the lunch? Also, I think a little dairy product, like cheese or sour cream, would round out the flavor and provide satiation.

Definitely makes it more challenging because a boiled egg, a piece of meat or fish, etc. is so easy and convenient.

But it certainly can be done if you do some research and prepare ahead of time. Beans, lentils, tofu, nuts, protein powders, and more things than I can remember at this moment, are good sources.

Yes.
And you can buy pork loin for around $2.50/lb in our area.
Hands down the best protein buy in the meat case .
High quality lean meat that can be used many ways.

ChatGPT told me that the above daily diet has about ~59–60 grams of protein. That sufficient for many people.

Animal based protein can raise the cost significantly. I don't know if they still do, but Louisiana used to let people do pole and fixed line fishing from the banks without a fishing license. So that's one way to get almost free animal protein.

The other way, of course, is to go Haitian.

It’s not a terrible meal plan, although I have never eaten oatmeal and I don’t like lentil soup. I’d def add some animal protein to the dinner, maybe have a peanut better sandwich for lunch and eggs for breakfast.

It’s my understanding that one can get free protein at local parks which are not only rich with waterfowl but also contain a diverse collection of mammals, most of which are easy to catch. In fact, many will even come if you call them. For more information, google videos about “migrants” and Springfield, Ohio.

I have little money, though not qualified for gubmint assistance, and could not possibly eat food suggested horrible diet.

I hate bananas. I hate cow’s milk. Oatmeal tastes terrible. Brown rice contains arsenic (even changed my cat’s food to avoid it). Peanut butter tastes yucky. .
Wheat is responsible for high cholesterol. (Read “Wheat Belly” by Wm. Davis, MD.)

Luckily , I have Trader Joe nearby, buy their boneless, skinless pasture-raised chicken thighs at reasonable price. They also have very nice Canadian salmon, priciest thing on my menu, but so what. Panda Puffs cereal available there and other places is organic, no GMOs. Nice with ground up cancer cell killing walnuts on it and almond milk with no sugar in it. Almond milk has more calcium than yucky cow’s milk.

I won’t bore you with all the other stuff I eat, just want to say that anyone can do better that that stupid gubmint menu without breaking the bank.

No eggs?!?! That is just stupid. Even now ,under Kameltoe inflation, they are only 25 cents a pop and contain no sugar and all 20 amino acids.

If you don’t like the chatGTP answer, you can revise the question.

I used this “If a person has little money, please list a low-cost meal plan for one day that would maximize nutrition, PROVIDE COMPLETE PROTEINS, and minimize cost.” The response then included eggs with breakfast and tofu with dinner.

You could just as easily include “120 to 180 grams of animal protein” etc.
