Chocolate City in the weather news again. So, will they blame Trump?
To: Enterprise
No, it is GW Bush and his racist hurricane machine at work again.

Send all the illegals to New Orleans with two buckets and tell them to get after it.

This is not a problem. If everyone just opened their bathtub drain the water will disappear.

They’ve has 24 years to make sure their pumping system could handle this amount of rainfall. Incompetence.

There are reports that the city’s pumping system cannot keep up with the rainfall. If there's water 7 feet deep, I think that's proof that the pumping system isn't keeping up.
My daughter is in that mess. I told her to bug out Tuesday night, but anyone who's a parent knows how that works. Say a prayer for her please.

sorry - bad math. 19 years.

Weather channel said that 90 of 98 pumps (something like that) were operational, but then explained that they could only handle 1/2" of rain per hour. That's not that much.
New Orleans is a unique and interesting city, but the engineer in me wonders how long you can keep a city going that's 8 feet below sea level in a hurricane zone. Every third or fourth autumn, it's going to be a disaster trying its best to happen.

Will Sean Penn make sure the plug is in the boat BEFORE putting it in the water this time?

If there is now flood water 7 feet deep, then they are almost at equilibrium with the true sea level.

How is it New Orleans never learned about landfill?
Works in the Bay Area quite well so long as there isn’t an earthquake. And Louisiana has very few of those.
