It reminds me of the situation in Canada in 1993 just before an election — Brian mulroney was quite unpopular and resigned, a woman by name of Kim Campbell took over party leadership and thereby became prime minister, ran a terrible campaign in which the Conservative Party was reduced to only two seats. She then resigned and we had a decade of split conservative voting before party re-unification in 2004 leading to Stephen harper’s election.
If this were to happen in reverse and fracture the left in American politics, then Trump could enjoy a more productive term and his successor in 2028 could be a two-term president. I think it’s the best route to national reconstruction to save the republic (something I very much support despite my location).
And Kim Campbell was probably twice as smart as Kamala harris. We have not yet elected a female leader in Canada, and in terms of party leaders, we have not really come close to doing so, the third party NDP has had female leaders and so do the Greens, but they have not been close to forming a gov’t.
I am a woman and unless I see someone comparable to Maggie Thatcher I don’t want to see a woman POTUS, women are far to emotional today AND they are more concerned with feelings than policies!! I am not saying ALL women but most!!
