London’s Metropolitan Police said that they made 38 arrests and recovered four knives.

Had the knives been reported missing or lost? Then how could they be "recovered?"

Stupid journalists - probably following the rhetorical lead of spineless police!

The knives were confiscated! What's the problem with saying that?
