well...it was a bonehead move on the hospital’s part which will fracture any ability to save face.f is that a skinheaded outlook? not sure if there’s a hair of difference between a scruple or a scalpel.

You wouldn’t believe the bull**** that can go wrong in hospitals and in healthcare, even under normal circumstances. But you also wouldn’t believe the bull**** regulations, payment delays, laws that are foisted upon hospitals, docs, nurses, and pharmacists.

Four months ago, I had my left hip replaced.   When the doctor came into the room to do his part of the prep, he started marking my knee.

He had already told us that for the first time ever, he had a patient right before me that chickened out on her surgery with her (Karen?) daughter's influence.   That lady was supposed to have her knee replaced and my doctor was flummoxed by what had just happened.

He scribbled out the marks on my knee and did the markup on my hip.   We all had a laugh about it.   He had done hundreds of joint replacements but never had someone back out at the last minute.   I'm fine with the fake hip and feel less and less like a Borg each day.
