Fernando Cluster trusted Emory University Hospital Midtown to perform a delicate procedure requiring the temporary removal of part of his skull. But, when it was time to put the piece back, Cluster says medical personnel lost it – and then charged him thousands of dollars for it.

Except, when preparing for the procedure on November 11, 2022, his bone flap was nowhere to be found.

According to the lawsuit, Cluster would wait almost two weeks for a synthetic implant flap to be manufactured. His cranioplasty was rescheduled for November 23, 2022.
After the procedure, Cluster's family was allegedly charged $146,845.60, which included costs for the synthetic flap and the extra time he spent in the hospital.

This lawsuit was filed on August 8, 2024.

Total Cluster F*ck
well...it was a bonehead move on the hospital’s part which will fracture any ability to save face.f is that a skinheaded outlook? not sure if there’s a hair of difference between a scruple or a scalpel.
Four months ago, I had my left hip replaced. When the doctor came into the room to do his part of the prep, he started marking my knee.
He had already told us that for the first time ever, he had a patient right before me that chickened out on her surgery with her (Karen?) daughter's influence. That lady was supposed to have her knee replaced and my doctor was flummoxed by what had just happened.
He scribbled out the marks on my knee and did the markup on my hip. We all had a laugh about it. He had done hundreds of joint replacements but never had someone back out at the last minute. I'm fine with the fake hip and feel less and less like a Borg each day.
That was most excellent, Theophilus.
You’re weirdading me out now.
Emory is clearly trying to dig themselves out of a hole.
FRiend - that post was OUTSTANDING!
