I am an election worker in georgia and I really like the changes.

If you could re-design an election system to be fraud-proof, as much as possible, what main points would you focus on?

I would improve absentee voter validation and ballot verification.

PS no more hundreds of ballot.drop off places allowed. You have to bring it.to your county office and you can’t bring more than yours. That’s law now.

Vote the way every European country does:

1) extremely strict rules in place for absentee voting (and thus a relatively small number of such votes).

2) You show up to vote.

3) you show up on election day (note, I did not say week, month, season...no......DAY)

4) you show government issued photo ID which proves you are who you say you are - ie a citizen lawfully entitled to vote

5) you vote on paper ballots......so as to leave an audit trail.

6) Opposition parties have a meaningful right to observe and challenge each ballot. "Meaningful" means they're sitting right there (or standing) looking right over the shoulder of the person counting each ballot. Yes, close enough that vote counter can smell their BO and bad breath. Close enough that they can easily read each ballot.

7) There is no stoppage of the vote count. EVER. FOR ANY REASON.

8) All challenged ballots go to a committee composed of members of all parties to determine who the ballot is cast for.

9) results announced that evening.

The beauty of this is that dead people, non citizens, underage people, people who claim to reside at a PO Box or on a street corner or in a cemetery, etc find it difficult to go down in person and present valid ID.
