National Guard is riddled with local politics. Lots of good folks and a whole lot of ass-kissing politician types..
This probably could have all gone away if there wasn’t a video of him arguing against AR-15s, saying “There’s no reason why everyone should have access to the same weapon of war I carried in Iraq.” (or something to that effect).

I still think that the Harris-Walz team will be rejected at the Convention and either Hillary or Michelle will step up. Hard to believe that the Dems would hold on to their current team (which no one voted for).
I don’t think even they could spin that kind of switch.
Do you really think it’s going to make a difference with the majority of Americans who hate the military? On the contrary they’re just gonna brush it off they don’t care. I don’t know what Trump needs to do to breakthrough the snakes in the media but it’s gonna be one hell of a infuriating trip. And now that she’s rising in the polls she’s not going to want to debate ….so kiss that goodbye. There is no way in hell they’re gonna let her debate. Trump needs to just keep doing what he’s doing and stop graveling for a debate makes him a tad desperate. He needs to just keep doing what he’s doing rallies and a slew of campaign ads. Saturate the market. He needs to get on Twitter again and Facebook wherever he can. Start doing interviews like he did with Adin and popular podcasts. He can’t rest one day anymore it’s gonna have to be day after day after day. Because the media is not going to give him his fair shake! NOW FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!
He did not say he was in Iraq.
But he did imply he carried a weapon in war. He never did.
I think he said, “battle”, not “Iraq”. (Either way, it’s a big fat lie.)
Nothing would surprise me.
I don’t agree, most Americans have respect for the Military. This stolen valor story has legs. This guy has tried to represent himself as someone who has actual served in a conflict when in actuality he served in the national guard stateside for the most part. When his unit was about to be called to active service in a war zone, he resigned and left his troops hanging.
