You are exceptionally kind calling them “people”.
I absolutely am being too kind, and as I wrote it, I thought about the propriety of it, too.
These people may not be the ones knocking at our door at 3 AM to take us away, but their successors will, fully enabled by these “people” I called...”people”...will.
What these idiots I call in my foolish kindness “people” don’t know is, their successors will also be knocking on THEIR doors at 3 AM. As they are dragged away, they will invariably whine, as Alexandr Solzhenitsyn describes in “The Gulag Archipelago”...”What for?”
Followed by “Why are you doing this? I am on your side?”
