You make me think. Knowing what a toadying, partisan “press” we have in America, presents a real challenge to Conservative candidates.

I am not saying I know this is fact, but I expect that Trump has to know that the “press” is going to focus on only the part of what he says that they think will help them. So, he gives them a single word, “bum”, that they can spend all day on. They like tiny sound bites with no context, anyway.

The rest of the speech, including specifics about Harris, is for the audience. Trump probably knows that the “press” won’t play it, anyway.

It’s probably better to give the “press” a rubber bon-bon to chew on, than nothing, at all. This way, you know what they’re talking about.

That’s exactly what is happening.
Well,at least when the fake news isnt running with bogus news like Trump colluding with Russia, or commiting insurrection or, being a racist or,committing impeachable offenses or, committing 99 bogus felons....

If they spend their airtime talking about how mean Trump is that’s a win for Trump for sure. The alternative is that they are talking about Border Czar Kamala as the second coming of MLK. There is no world where they are discussing the policy points that Trump is ACTUALLY running on.
