At 0:12 in the video below you can see said air unit.
It is several feet from building and there is even a door on the building. I don’t see how he could jump that far and pull himself up holding a rifle.

Every time you see someone extol the wonders of the coming AI, just remember how infuriatingly inept Autocorrect is at doing such a comparatively simple task. We’re light years away from “thinking” machines, but a lot of companies will try to make fortunes by faking it.
If you look at the video I sent you, it looks to me like you can get on the roof from that location.
I read on one of these threads a user post which said the van (perhaps a rental) was parked perhaps a mile from his eventual AGR perch. The bicycle allowed him to carry his other gear, presumably from the van in a black backpack and something rifle-shaped in a blanket-covered roll.
I understand there was a path to the AGR building that wouldn’t require his going through the magnetometer/detectors. Since the area including the AGR was outside the security perimeter, ... well you see where that line of thinking brought us!
The story says that he bought the ladder on the 8th. There are maybe a half dozen Home Depots closer to Bethel Park than the one in Butler. There’s also at least one on the way to Clairton.
That still doesn’t tell me the day he brought the ladder to the scene. Nobody from law enforcement seems to want to provide that info, because they likely have no clue, which means nobody properly searched the area in the days prior to, or on the day of the event, or they would have noticed a ladder against a building that no security was assigned to.
So, did he use a ladder, or did he clamber up the air conditioners to the roof?
Because after he was done assassinating Trump, he was goign to return the ladder and get his money back. Thrifty guy.
I do not believe he climbed up on the air unit, it is too far away from the building as you can see in the video below at the 0:12 mark;

And here is an arial view that shows just how far the unit (center top) is from the building;
Maybe a helpful Fibbie carried it in his pickup truck.
