I first recall Jim Jordan from the House hearings of Lois Lerner/IRS/TEA Party back in 2012. I have liked him ever since. But you are right about House hearings going nowhere when the minority party is trying to get to the bottom of the matter. All Kabuki theater.

I’m a huge college wrestling fan and Jim Jordan was my hero for years. I have been to campaign events and heard him live in a small (100 person) venue.

I loved watching him decimate Lerner after the IRS controversy and Hillary after Bengazi.

I have slowly come to realize that he is controlled opposition. He has turned down or refused to fight for the Speakership a number of times because he knows his cover would be blown if he got it.

One of the questions asked of him at the town hall/campaign event was along the lines of... “What has congress done wrong to allow Biden to destroy the country so badly.” His answer was, “There is nothing we can do. We need to control the Presidency too.”

I have come to the disappointing conclusion that he is just a company man and a fraud.
