For those of you talking about him being a comically bad shot in high school, that was at least 2 years ago if not more. A little bit of reading, and lots of range time and from he did he was definitely no longer a “comically bad shot”. I don’t think he was a great shot, but being rushed, he was still able to get at least one round within an inch of his target. Maybe part of the reason he did this was because he was laughed out of the gun club who knows, I don’t think we will ever find out if he was just a nut or had a handler. The main issue is the criminal dereliction of duty by the SS person in charge that did not make sure there were security personnel on a rooftop 150 yards from the stage.
Yeah, not that bad considering the distractions of the crowd watching. The first video shows him getting up while laying on the roof and moving to avoid the crowd watching him apparently. The second link shows how a 2nd ss snipper team took out Crook, not the picture of the team you always see.
