Thank you God. No one can doubt Trump was spared for a reason

I have never been very religious..when I was much younger (1970’s) I was pretty much a militant atheist...but always very conservative. As I've matured...have to come to the conclusion that there things that we don't see. The incident last Saturday has completely convinced me that there is a god of some sort...a force of good that is battling the demons of Satan. God lowered his hand and turned DJT’s head to save him. Kind of a life altering experience for many of us here I might suspect.

Thinking of the closeness of that shot brought to my mind this dialogue from the movie Ben Hur where the Roman Consul Quintus Arrius calls the galley slave Ben Hur to his cabin to offer him the opportunity to be a gladiator:

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Why are you here?

BEN HUR: I was ordered to report to you during my relief.

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Oh, yes. I'd forgotten. You could have killed me as I lay there. You're a condemned man. Why didn't you?

BEN HUR: I'm not ready to die.

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: What do you think will save you?

BEN HUR: The God of my fathers.

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Your God has forsaken you. He has no more power than the images I pray to. My gods will not help me. Your God will not help you. I might. Does that interest you, 41? I can see that it does. I'm a fighting man by profession, and in my leisure moments, it amuses me to train fighting men. I own some of the best gladiators and charioteers in Rome. Would you like to become one of them?

BEN HUR: To die as your slave?

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Better than to live in chains below these decks.

BEN HUR: I will not be here forever.

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: No? What would you do if you escaped?

BEN HUR: Two people were condemned with me, my mother and sister...though they were innocent. I won't rest-

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Do not say that you were innocent.

BEN HUR: Would it do any good to say it again?

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: No. Consider my offer carefully. You will never escape while we are victorious. If we are not, you will sink with this ship, chained to your oar.

BEN HUR: I cannot believe that God has let me live these years to die chained to an oar.

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: It's a strange, stubborn faith you keep to believe that existence has a purpose. A sane man would have learned to lose it long before this.

BEN HUR: As you have. What drove it out of you?

CONSUL QUINTUS ARRIUS: Go back to your oar, 41.

One can look at the margin between being dead and being alive for Donald Trump, and think that God did not bring Donald Trump through his whole life, through all he has been through since 2016, to have him bleed out on a stage in Butler, PA. I would like to think he is a man destined for even greater things.
