CNN has been notorious for their apparent insensitivity to human tragedy, asking people how they “feel” about events after something particularly horrific has just occurred.
Damned voyeuristic vultures.
In the old days when I commuted to the big city I bumped into a reporter and a camera-man from the local station.
I politely asked them what story they were covering.
They pointed to the police units a block away and said “someone just got murdered there”.
I lit into them: “If it bleeds it leads right.”
They were both embarrassed, lowered their eyes and the reporter “said, yup, not proud of it, that is what we were sent here to do”.
