Implement a 2 door system
when a person or group is suspected of stealing lock the outside door, when they get inside the 2 door perimeter lock the second door, trapping them inside
If someone is trapped inside with them, and/or they threaten them then they stay locked in until the police arrive, yes I understand this is an issue
But that would not be nice way to treat customers, now would it?

#1 Employees should sneak to their new safe room.
#2 Push the RED FIRE button trapping the perps inside the store.
#3 Push the BLUE POLICE button for available cop.
#4 Push PEACE button for a peace person that’s available.
