Rubio representing Florida in the Senate would likely mean that Trump-Rubio would mean Trump being the one to change residency... presumably back to being a New Yorker.

Cheney was an inhabitant of Texas for decades. It never would have withstood a challenge, but Bush v Gore and Bush v Kerry were charades.
