Just kidding. You’re right, of course. If the homeowner went on the offensive, the local police would also go on the offensive. Against him. That’s just the way things work in 2024 America - at least until Trump gets back in the White House.
It’s also worth noting that at least some of the “vagabonds” are armed. So the homeowner could well lose his personal Gunfight at the OK Corral.
If the local cops will not help, as I mentioned earlier the best solution would be to move. And that’s a damn shame. But it is what it is.

Ever consider that’s exactly what the drug gang intends? In fact that’s likely why they picked a property with small kids to harass and intimidate. So they can force them off the property to occupy the house.
