Dr Carson this election is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. It is the first time since the 1892 election where we have two independent presidential terms to compare and contrast.

In 1885–89, the president was Robert Cleveland. Then, Benman Harrison became president and people were able to compare both presidencies. The people went back to Grover Cleveland.

[Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms and is therefore counted as the 22nd and 24th president of the United States.]

Donald Trump hopes to be only one of two presidents in our history to serve two nonconsecutive terms.

How can you compare and contrast or tell the audience how they should prepare in contrast
of the four years of trump and the four years of Joe Biden? Well, you should ask yourself:
Do you have more money to spend when you go to the store?
Do you have more money to spend when you go to buy gas for your car?
Do you feel safer walking down the street?

You know are you concerned about:
What’s going on at the border.
You know and think about all these people who are coming into our country.
You know the eight people from pan who were just found who had Isis connections. And, those are the ones that we know about. What about the ones that we don’t know about?
If the terrorists are coming into our country and planning something terrible then so I mean we have a lot to be concerned about.

But, we have an ace in the hole: God. If God was willing to spare Sodom for the sake of 10 people we got this okay! But we have to do our part.

‘Dr Carson I’m so glad you brought that up . This is an audience that loves the Lord and wants to honor God and honor our country .What do you have to say in two parts:
the first part of the question I’ll ask to Christians who say I think God is done with this country and think that our worst days are ahead. How would you respond?’

I would respond to that by saying ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

‘Second please Dr Carson so just Really quick here in Michigan our data analysis and turning point action shows Us that there are hundreds of thousands and close to maybe even 500 to 750,000 Christians that don’t vote and/ or they passively vote Even worse than that there are Christians that say I don’t know if I can vote for Donald Trump. How would you respond to both
those Christians who don’t vote or Christians that are uneasy about Donald Trump?’

I would say, the reason that we have the freedom that we have now and the ability to live in peace is because there were people before us who were willing to stand up for what they
believed in. Many of them not just to vote, but they gave their lives so that we could have freedom and peace in our country. And, I would ask them the question: what are you willing to do for your children? Because what we do today will have a dramatic impact on the kind of life that they will have:
- the debts that they have to pay;
- the people that they have to deal with;
- the principles that they will value or not Value depending on how we present them.

We got to remember this is United States of America. This is America. We have the can do Spirit not the what can you do for me Spirit. That’s what made us into a great nation. We have to play our part. There are so many different forces that play here in this election. We need to have the Grassroots turn out in record numbers and do the work register new voters to find low propensity voters. You might ask what is a low propensity voter
- is your Uncle Frank who complains all the time that grocery prices are too high
- that crime is going up
- that the country is not what it used to be.
But he doesn’t vote! That is a low propensity voter. Raise your hand if you know somebody like that in your life. Every person raising your hand you got to go find that Uncle Frank register him
To vote and tell him it is their duty to go vote for Donald Trump. But, I never want to hear your complaining ever again.

Dr Carson how do we best identify and register to find those low propensity voters.

This election will be determined by whether or not we are able to translate the concerns that the everyday American has for the direction of the country into ballots and votes. All we have to do is get people to open their eyes and look and see what’s going on! Just like with Benjamin Harrison and Grover Cleveland this is the same situation. We’re fortunate in the sense that we’ve had these two administrations joined right next to each other. You don’t have to remember back 20 years or 30 years ago. You just have to remember 3 or 4 years ago to see what was going on then and what’s going on now.

We’re going to continue down this downward spiral unless we change it and like I said our Founders gave us the ability to change it. But, we have to take advantage of that. That is really the key.

Right now it is all in our hands. We have to talk about it. Don’t shy away from those conversations at the dinner table. And, in your neighborhoods go out there and proclaim the gospel of freedom in this country.

Trump is quite…tame…compared to who God chose to raise up and favor during Biblical times.

Sadly, many Christians do not have cultivated imaginations nor senses to truly view the world Biblically. Scriptures have lost their power and have devolved into empty words, rules, and whatever platitude or intellectual fluff fits one’s theological or political preference du jour.

The Bible is a tapestry of fully fledged HUMAN BEINGS with distinct PERSONALITIES and QUIRKS. With colorful pasts, messy families, and having their most meaningful encounters with God less so in temples, and moreso in the midst of all kinds of rebellion and mischief. Not to mention bloody warfare.

Even Jesus would not be “suitable” for Christians today. A single, degree-less 30-something carpenter who is now homeless after just moving out of his mom’s house?! John the Baptist ate locusts, permanently camped outdoors, by all accounts unemployed otherwise, and sported his day’s version of dreadlocks.

Paul spent most of his adult life a persecutor of Christians.

And what of the R-rated life stories of the Old Testament kings and prophets?!!!!!

(Not to mention the brash characters of former presidents like Teddy Roosevelt and many of our founding fathers.)

Last month, a Christian acquaintance said he voted for Pence in 2020, because of Trump’s lack of character. I responded with Daniel 4:17;

“In order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, [He] gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men.” Daniel 4:17

Instead of seeking character, which scripture says will be lacking, I vote based on expected results. I will vote for Trump.

Yes, we must all vote Trump to save America.
The example of president Cleveland is not exactly fitting here though. US was not saved by voters holding nose and voting for Cleveland. Harrison would be as good or even better president, if he won.
It was actually a tragic story. Benjamin Harrison’s wife died of tuberculosis, just two weeks before election. Grieving, he lost any interest in running for president, but it was too late for him just to withdraw and retire.
So Cleveland got a free pass!
