Harriet Hageman is on my personal short list of people I hope President Trump is considering for vice president.
During a recent interview Hageman shows she is not going along with the pretending. Every word about Joe Biden and the length of time the issues have been visible is correct and accurate. “Who is running our country?” WATCH:

On “Forbes Newsroom,” Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) reacted to President Biden’s debate performance with alarm, slamming the press for its coverage of Biden, questioning who is running the U.S., and whether she supports invoking the 25th Amendment.
Biden is a national security threat, he should be removed immediately. This is not a joke.
Hageman’s not buying us anything. You’ve got to take away that undecided voter. Un-entitled empathy for Joe Biden is called for with a simultaneous swipe at his party for not recognizing the process. They used covid to their advantage and they’re going to have to pull another rabbit out of the hat. Prepare that swing voter for the October surprise. Remind them of how Epstein could die in a maximum security prison and how a video could lead to 4 Benghazi deaths. There are other ‘unexplained’ events.
Completely academic exercise. The polls have barely budged, and Biden is the only man to have beaten Trump. Both men are known quantities, as are the respective party platforms. Just about every voter has a home team. You don’t abandon your home team because it got its clock cleaned - you double down. That’s why the polls have moved by a point or two. Voters are dug in.

Polling aside, due to election mechanics that prevent an intra-party insurrection, Harris won’t replace Biden, any more than anyone replaced Strom Thurmond or Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Dianne Feinstein was literally in a wheelchair before anyone was able to persuade her to leave. But it was voluntary - she had to agree. When they dig their heels in, as with Thurmond and Ginsburg, there’s not much anyone else can do.
Biden’s worked his whole life to get here. He’ll be damned if he lets anyone take it from him. Like every one of Trump’s opponents, he’s betting on Trump’s auto-destruct tendencies to give him a leg up. With four months to go, there’s still a lot of rope with which Trump can hang himself.

I agree the polls have not moved much but they have moved. Just think of it as a dam beginning to buckle. If old Joe can't recover, which I believe he cannot, the dam will break. The closer it is to November the better.
I want to hear talk of the DNC possibly cancelling the convention.
My far-left friend who also has some medical knowledge described Biden interview as “dead man walking”. She’s smarter than every one of the idiots making excuses.

They can do that easily if they can get the rioting cranked up full blast.

Hageman would make a fine VP and then president. I’d be surprised if she could be bought or scared off.
You Tube’s been doing a lot of that sort of thing since the debate. I’ve stopped going there. It’s maddening.

I can’t read minds, but I think Warner’s reasoning is that this election cycle is shot. Nobody likes Harris, but rejecting her in a regular primary would alienate blacks, who might not vote GOP, but could stay home. So the best thing is to administer a death blow to Harris’s political career by having her lose in a landslide to Trump, so there’s no possibility of a Harris 2028 run.
Fetterman is more optimistic about Biden’s chances. There’s always the outside possibility that Trump could tank his numbers by saying something nice about Hitler or Jim Crow, something that’s literally true while being besides the point. Biden’s not behind by double digits. And the recent downbeat poll numbers were the result of the Democrat media beating up on Biden, for a change. Two or three points just isn’t that big a move. Once they ease off, after recognizing that Joe isn’t quitting, and start lionizing him again while depicting Trump as literally Hitler, the numbers could swing back in Biden’s favor. Trump’s unfavorables are so high, it wouldn’t take much of a bump for Biden to eke out a win.
There’s nothing inherently bad about either approach. Their problem is that they’re working at cross purposes. Every day Warner does his thing to discredit Biden makes it more likely Joe will give what he views as an effort to humiliate him the middle finger. So maybe Biden loses in a landslide, and Harris becomes the Democrat front runner in 2028 - the worst of both worlds.
You are correct about people digging in.
Just yesterday I had a “conversation” with a liberal about several topics (she intends to vote for Biden and still believes videos of him in cognitive decline are “cheap fakes”).
First she was arguing that Republicans in general and Trump in particular are a threat to “democracy”. She thinks Trump will be a dictator.
On to gun control. She said nobody needs a gun. When I pointed out there are somewhere around 360 million firearms in private hands and the horse had left the barn she said Biden should sign an executive order requiring everyone to turn in their guns. So much for “democracy”.
Then somehow we got around to SCOTUS’s reversal of the Chevron doctrine.
The liberal then argued that we have to have “experts” make the rules because they are “experts” in their fields and Congress is not.
I said the “experts” are free to submit their recommendations to Congress so they can vote on them. She said Congress can’t be trusted to vote the right way because they don’t understand different regulatory issues.
I then asked her if having unelected bureaucrats make law is democratic and she said we need a new Constitution.
He’s not running anything. He’s been cognitively impaired for years. Democrats and the rinopublican party were cool with it until Biden fell so far behind in the polls and for some reason they seem hesitant to cheat for him on an industrial scale again. It think part of it is it’s getting so bad that he is damaging the democrat party. Democrat voters must be fleeing. They’ll cheat for him again though and he knows it. That’s why he is staying in.
