While traveling I listened to NPR for a bit and was astounded at what I was hearing. Some leftist author was suggesting we need to name heat-waves like we name hurricanes.
Then he spent some time discussing - well how do we name heat waves? He suggested naming them after something that can easily remembered - like Exxon-Mobil or Chevron.
I kid you not. This went down on yesterday’s radio show. Completely insanity and they treated all this with extreme seriousness.
It’s been a while, but I used to tune in often enough to get to know some shows.
Twilight Zone. Sometimes I’d try to describe it to the other half, but could never explain it as seriously as it was presented. It came off as Bee type parody.
