Correct answer but the FCC would get their panties in a twist. Still, when I was in school, all through high school, that was the rule: no cellphones on school grounds. If you’re caught with one, it’s forfeit until the end of the year.

Granted I graduated in the early 2000s so back then cell phones were limited and honestly nothing but a distraction. Or a means with which to cheat.

Agreed—teachers should not have to deal with petty enforcement.
