As was true before the debate and after it . . . there are no issues. There is only drain the Swamp.
Independents are now 45% of the electorate with Dems at 27% and the GOP also at 27%. Check the internals of polling and this is very clear.
Independents do not lean. They are demanded by pollsters to lean but they do not lean because they are not stuck between the two parties. They are not taking middle positions on issues. They are not mildly for or against guns or abortion or taxes/spending.
They are focused on issues the media dares not allow minutes. Drain the Swamp. Eradicate the Deep State that lives in NYC and DC. Independents are not unable to choose between sides of issues. They have their own issues and those issues must be denied media focus.
It is for this reason that Trump had no great value going to the debate. He just generated a week of discussion of answers to questions about THEIR issues. Not what the bulk of the electorate cares about.
He won the appearance battle. He should not go again, unless some jail sentence tries to blow up the whole process.
