The economy is being propped up until after the election. If Trump wins you will see layoffs like crazy in Nov and Dec just in time for the holidays and will be blamed on Trump or the "sky is falling" crying by the leftists will be epic. If Biden wins the same thing will happen but it will be used to pass the largest spending package you have ever seen to "fix" the economy.
Either way, buckle up buckaroo!

#9 The initial consumer confidence reading has been revised down in 7 of the last 8 months. They forgot one:
#12 It has been demonstrated that the administrative state repeatedly falsifies statistics, not only negating any advertised gains prior, but amplifying the negative profoundly.

I think the bank branch closures are more due to the ongoing move to digitize more and more stuff, requiring fewer branches in general.
How often does anyone really go to the bank these days? I can do pretty much anything online, even finalize loans, without ever setting foot in the bank. Only time I need the bank is cash, which we know they are working on banning however possible......

Out of the blue, staff at US Logistics Solutions were given news on Thursday that they were out of a job and would also not get their paychecks on Friday.
That is horrible. I just can't begin to imagine the emotional, spiritual and physical stress those people must be going through right now. Especially in Humble Tx where there probably aren't a lot of other jobs available.

It’s not just prices. So many items are missing from shelves now days. And a lot of what you get is not as good as it was a few years ago.

By 2031 it is estimated that all of the taxes collected will go to only service the interest on the national debt.
