“end of world event (magnetic poles shift)”

Why would a magnetic poles shift be an “end of world event”? How would you even know it happened if you didn’t have a compass? FR commentariat continues its descent to mentally deficient category.

I’m only mentioning some extinction pundits claims we are due for another based on the rate the magnetic north has shifted in the last 20 years, leading to gps updates and a 10% weakening of magnetic field. The last ‘quick’ flip was 42K years ago. Obvious effects of a weakened magnetic field on cosmic radiation/UV exposure/electrical storms, and effects on wildlife have actually been documented. This is not to say I subscribe to a sudden shift any more than I subscribe to Kushal Kumar’s prediction WW3 starts tomorrow.
