A side note and/or side symptom: In the last election the MI state GOP lost both the state house and the state senate for the first time in decades, why is this? No red wave locally just like nationally. That’s because the state GOPe has done a pathetic (and that’s being generous) job over the years and has earned it. The state house/senate did NOTHING after the stolen election in 2020, (dump of ballots in Detroit in the middle of the night) granted WHitler could have vetoed every voting security bill but these losers didn’t even try.
No one turned out to vote for them to keep them in power, voting for the lesser of evils got us to the point, no more. Like the rest of the rustbelt states these states are really nice in a lot of ways, however they all have a YUGE blue dot on the map keeping the upper Midwest stagnant for two generations.
Also term limits do not work for the little guy, we have had them for years watching the state decline in the meantime. The state dems start their grooming on day one so they always have a bench ready to go, the state GOPe does nothing to organize, just like the national level they go along to get along.
“””That’s because the state GOPe has done a pathetic (and that’s being generous) job”””
And that’s because the GOPe wants to get rid of Trump as much as the Democrats do.
