What does the Constituion say about the powers of the VP as far as Electoral Ballots?
I see where the Constitution says that the VP hands the ballots to Tellers (Counters selected by Congress). The Tellers count and then send the VP a note saying who won.
The VP asks if there are objections to ballots by each State Delegation in Congress. If there are, Congress votes to accept or reject ballots, the Constitution doesn’t give the VP any say in that.
If anyone finds something different in the Constitution or Federal Law giving the VP power to reject ballots or delay the process, please cut and paste.
