When I worked at Walter Reed AMC in the 1990’s I got curious about medications dispensed to our selected so-called representatives and learned there is a firewall between the network used for THEIR medical records and the rest of the DoD/NCA computer system (previously known as CHCS I and II).

I poked around on a computer one of my colleagues had left open (didn’t want this coming back to ME) and couldn’t find a SINGLE record for any [enter WH resident name here].

Later I spoke with some WH communications folks and IT people who basically told me “Duh. No kidding. It’s national security need to know stuff.”

Whoever leaked that data is in deep kimchi.

Pretty much any Health Insurer has major security on their data. I was on a project setting up a new data farm for BC/BS. Once we had the security system set up and the servers were moved in, our clearances were revoked and we were escorted out.

Also, an acquaintance was an RN at UNC Hospitals. When any local or state officials were treated for anything, they were most always brought in the back door and quite often, after dark. Be it a cold, virus, colonoscopy, or heart issues, medical data on one’s political opponents is gold.
