Sam Brown, former President Donald Trump's choice for the Republican Senate primary in Nevada, defeated former United States ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter for the party's nomination on Tuesday night, according to the Associated Press.
Brown, an Army veteran, won with over 59% of the vote, according to Politico.
Trump endorsed Brown on Sunday, giving him the final boost he needed to secure the party's nomination.

Good. Not hopeful for Nov with the jackee rosen union machine rolling along. Between vegas and reno libgressives, they basically control the entire state.
I have a feeling that Brown will pull off a miracle. Just my gut. Last week, I met w/another candidate running in the primary. Impressive credentials, however, when I asked him about supporting Trump’s policies he backed off and gave a political response. Soured my support.
Now lets see if he is ready to actually run, to speak up, to layout his agenda, and make a case for folks to vote for him. He didn’t last time around. He won the primary only because of failed attempt, there were better candidates. He’s terribly organized. As one example, I went by the local Republican office last week to pick up Brown campaign signs, none, he hadn’t made any, none were distributed. A stealth candidate, being charitable, won’t win. Rosen has the media cheering for her, pushing her on the front page. Brown is absent and needs to step up if he is to be competitive.

Over a dozen candidates ran, Stephanie Phillips had a strong Second Amendment stance, other others all offered something. Brown ran once before, a poor campaign and too much 'vote for me because I'm a disabled vet'. He lost. Maybe he's got it together this time, not sure. Trump endorsed him, that might help in coming months but he'll have to get out and do the work for himself. Time will tell if he's up to the task.
