Sam Brown, former President Donald Trump's choice for the Republican Senate primary in Nevada, defeated former United States ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter for the party's nomination on Tuesday night, according to the Associated Press.
Brown, an Army veteran, won with over 59% of the vote, according to Politico.
Trump endorsed Brown on Sunday, giving him the final boost he needed to secure the party's nomination.
