Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said Monday on Fox News how his state could be in “play” for former President Donald Trump come this November, calling out the top issues for voters within the state.
Youngkin appeared on “Hannity” to discuss recent polling from the typically blue state which showed President Joe Biden in a tight race with the former president. Fox host Sean Hannity questioned the governor on the new data, asking if the state could possibly be in “play” for Trump based on the data being shown.

Hmmmmmmm, you can only serve 1 term as governor in Virginia.
So?
Took awhile but better late than never. So what’s next? It’s either the VP slot now or taking his chances in ‘28. A senate race is beneath too many of these people.
Virginia does not have term limits, but one is not allowed to serve consecutive terms.

I only hit the button once! Lol.
“Hmmmmmmm, you can only serve 1 term as governor in Virginia.”
I posted this yesterday on another thread:
The best pick from a tactical (13 electoral votes) perspective would be Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, who can’t run for re-election in 2025 anyway.
Polls indicate that Trump might be close in Blueish-Purple Virginia, and IF that can be believed then Youngkin would be the best candidate to put him over the top in that state.
It’s not certain that Youngkin on the ticket MUST mean that Trump wins VA, but of all possible VP choices, show me another solid and prominent Republican from a “blue” state who would actually help deliver his state’s electoral votes.
Elise Stefanik ain’t gonna deliver New York. Chris Christie (who shouldn’t be anywhere near the ticket) wouldn’t deliver New Jersey.
I’m well aware that Youngkin isn’t 100,000% perfectly pure on every single issue, as if anyone is including Trump himself, but he’s as logical a choice as there is.
To clarify, Virginia Governor is one four-year term. They may however, run and serve again later after skipping at least one term.
If Youngkin enforces election integrity laws and uses his executive authority to reign in the Rat cheat machine, Trump could win. Otherwise it will be The Big Steal 2.0.
That's his job.
Youngkin for VP would be great!!
Your last sentence sums things up pretty well. There have been many threads on Free Republic regarding potential running mates for Trump.
There is no potential VP candidate who has a perfect conservative background.
I’ve read enough of those threads to get the impression that there is something wrong with every potential running mate.
Every potential running mate, has pluses and minuses to bring to the campaign.
Clearing the hurdle of university towns and population centers might be difficult.
Northern Virginia is deeeeeep blue. Some Virginians actually live there, but the mix is overwhelmed by lefty inports.
Youngkin would be an excellent choice for VP.
