“He is endorsing moderates in most races if there’s a conservative in the race,” said Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio). “We can’t send the swamp any people that are just going to keep funding the status quo.”

Before you can set the agenda, you have to have a majority in both the House and Senate. In agreement with you, I have often quoted John Kennedy who said, "first, you gotta win."
But it is also true that the entire rationale behind Donald Trump's candidacy is that a true conservative campaign will prevail. If we do not believe that then we are trapped in an endless cycle of loss. Do we want to return to the days of Mitt Romney for president?
T he truth is that it's vital not only to win but to win with candidates who are reliable (repeat, "reliable"] conservatives.
Donald Trump is our Paladin but let us not deceive ourselves, his history of picking subordinates and some candidates is disheartening.

I sometimes wonder about Trump's judgement of people.
I don't wonder anymore - Trump's hires and endorsements are often bad, and that's something I accept. I trust Trump himself - I don't trust his ability to pick good people.
To: GrootheWanderer
It’s abysmal, which is why you should not expect anything good.

Anyone still believing the GOP cares about us is living in the 19th century.

He endorsed Oz in the PA senate race. Looks like Fetterman is more conservative that Oz. I am not a fan of Trump endorsements. He either endorses RINOs or he endorses conservatives who are not very stellar.
Just what we need in Congress- more assistant democrats, because we don't have enough of them already. We need to continue that great congressional republican tradition of do-nothing, reach across the aisle and bend over surrender monkeys. Oh... also treachery when we need them most to vote for us.
What Trump is best at is polishing his image. In this case, he wants to appear to pick the winner. Unless Trump has serious issues with a candidate personally, like GA Gov. Kemp, this is what Trump does. In races with RINOs, Trump has better options, including endorsing the Constitution Party, but he doesn't do that. So, we get stuck with too many RINOs.

I like that we have a “Freedom Caucus”, and I respect most the individuals involved with it. However, I must ask, what has the Freedom Caucus done, exactly to promote Freedom? I feel as though all of these caucii and committees and everything else are just various elitist clubs that we aren’t part of. Not one of the tyrants or actual domestic terrorists have gone to jail, and they won’t. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters, that justice is served. Without justice, we have no freedom.

Anyone still believing the GOP cares about us is living in the 19th century. That may be true but I don't know what it has to do with my comment.
In any event, the framers conception of checks and balances, separation of powers, federalism and constitutional guarantees in general originates under the presumption that no politician cares about us but that his self interest will prompt him to act to check other self-interested politicians, to our benefit. The framers were not naïve and I trust neither am I.

And this line of thinking, my FRiend, is why we are in this position in the first place. Politics is not a team sport. You don’t vote for somebody just because they are on My? team. If you are saying that this person is un electable then you are playing right into the deep states hands. Vote your concience. Learn that if you have to vote for a third party, it’s not a vote for the democommie. It’s a vote for the third party candidate. Time to just say NO to the bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’Ts. They are traitors. They need to be eliminated at all costs.
Absolutely. Biden would not have been installed as POTUS if the Republicans in Congress and the state legislatures called BS. They all knew the election was rigged, but wanted Trump out of office. These RINOs opposed free and fair elections. How can any true conservative support them for reelection?

Like his endorsement of Fong in MCCarthys old district. Fong was McCarthys right hand man. Why would trump even I endorse anywone? It’s a solid red district. Fong beat a fellow Republican former sheriff Boudreaux. 60-40

He endorsed Oz in the PA senate race. Is there anybody on this board who doesn't know that Trump endorsed Oz?
And in this article the only real example given is the Bob Good rehash.
The SC and MI examples are bogus.

“He endorsed Oz in the PA senate race.”

Looks like Fetterman is more conservative that Oz.Fetterman is much more outspoken on the important issues of our days. He is 100% pro-Israel. No way Oz the Turk will have done that.

There you go again with your insulting barbs against Trump. You are one of the freaks that supported the fake charges against Trump in NY, said he deserved them. Everyone needs to know where you are coming from, you are a failed never Trumper that thinks he can do damage by nipping at his ankles. I got news for you, most everyone here knows what a loser you are.

Disagree with the unspoken premise.
You can fight to elect a person who will never be elected, which means you chose someone to run and ended up giving it to a demoncrat.
Or you leverage the moderate who can get elected and control the congress with a majority.
You cannot win without majority control.
Will the RINO/moderate always vote with you? No. Of course not. but without the moderate, in some districts, you will not have a republican in office.
Example. Susan collins. I don’t like her but she is the ONLY kind of republican that can win in Maine.

No, what's disheartening is seeing you never-Trump freaks suddenly coming back out of nowhere again. The only time I have ever seen posts from you are during the elections of 2016 and 2020, and always to trash Trump.
