The President’s lawyer said the judge was covering his mouth when the verdict was read out, so no one could see him smiling.
But he who smiles last, smiles best, Your Honor. A lesson you might want to learn.

First, The NY Supreme Court informed Merchan of the finding, this wasn't Merchan fessing up.
Second, The NY Supreme Court would not have bothered contacting Merchan without having first verified the relationship of the poster and the juror, AND verifying there was contact between the two before the post.
The verdict will be tossed and I don't see Merchan getting another bite at the apple in time to get a conviction before the election.
How can you seat a jury that can pretend they haven't been tainted by pre-trial publicity?

When Trump suspends habeas corpus, I hope Merchan likes the weather in Cuba.

( It is time to prosecute the "10% for the Big Guy" guy.)

Somebody related to a juror leaked the decision to convict Trump before the verdict was read in court. It basically amounts to evidence that outsiders had access to the jury, which leads to idea the jury was tampered with and influenced by possible bribery or blackmail.

It also means the jurors were discussing the case mid trial which is against the rules of the court.

More than just discussing it.
It would seem that they decided together on a verdict prior to retiring to deliberate.

The jurors lied about being able to have an open mind. Trump didn’t get a fair trial.

New York Court System
The New York court system has three levels: Trial courts - including the Supreme Courts (unlike in the federal system), the Appellate Divisions of the Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeals, which is the court of last resort (similar to the Supreme Court in the federal system).
——/
The NY “Supreme” Court is not the highest Ct in NY. Just want to clarify that.

Post number 7 sums it up pretty well.

In the background of this story, I’m hearing faint traces of “How Many More Times?” by Led Zeppelin on first album.

Reminds me of early Gotti era cases where a juror or juries were bought off.

If you’re going to gag the defendant, the jury should be gagged too by being sequestered the whole trial.

He should be sent back to Colombia where he came from.
