Jesse Watters said it best last night on his show..you take 12 people to a restaurant, four get the salad, four get the steak and the other four get pasta..each liking the meal they ate, so they are told “Ok this means you like the food here” well no, how can they say they like the steak when they havent tried it, and how can the people who ate the steak say they like the salad when they didnt try it

In the first few minutes, most juries tend to decompress and get to know each other by talking freely about the lawyers, the judge, personal comfort issues, the audience in the court room, the defendant, and the witnesses. The jurors then get down to business by picking a foreman and discussing the case. A good foreman makes sure that the discussion is structured around the issues and that everyone gets a chance to talk, even to the point of drawing out quiet members so that they are engaged and contribute to the deliberations.
