Sadly, when people give a little bit of power to a dumb bully, you eventually have to deal with and eliminate the powerful dumb bully. It’s now time to remove another bully from Illinois Republican politics.
I’ve been given permission to actually disclose one of the names of someone who Larry Smith harassed and threatened at the state convention because the man would not vote the way Larry was demanding.
Mr. Don Jensen is the county board chairman of LaSalle County. As such, Don is not your run of the mill individual as he holds a respectable position of representation for over 100,000 Illinois residents. Don is assuredly informed well enough to make his own choices as to whether Dean White or Mark Shaw was best suited to represent Illinois on the national stage.
On at least three occasions, Larry accosted Don and was harassing and threatening him insisting he leave because Don would not vote the way Larry was was demanding. Keep in mind this is a county board chairman Larry is treating like this. Don was voting for Dean White and not Mark Shaw and Larry was furious. Larry was telling Don you will vote how I want or you need to leave.
We cannot have people like Larry Smith in these positions who act like dictators instead of representatives! Threatening and intimidating those who don’t follow his commands is how a tyrant acts and is abhorrent to our whole system of government.
Larry needs to do himself a favor and resign for if he doesn’t he is going to suffer an embarrassing defeat just like his buddy Mark Shaw just suffered. Do the people of Illinois a favor Larry and step down from Republican politics. You aren’t suited to represent people as you have clearly let it go to your head!!
