” 53-47%”

Not very impressive. Is the ‘gay community’ entrenched there, by any chance? Easy way to tell - look out of a window and if the scenery looks top-notch, then the Gays like are embedded.

In any case, they’re likely pushing too far West, given the above numbers, so it’s best to cut off the idea and work it with the counties they already have.

The true eye opener here is how much the centers of power have ignored the needs of these counties...and still don't give a crap.

It is a very strong analogy to our country at the national level.

Won’t work unless Oregon turns red for one certain November. How many in the statehouse are up?

Not very impressive.

Au contraire. The vote is a serious, consequence-laden secession from an established government. That such disastrous action is being taken shows the world that western Oregon has been committing voter fraud for many decades.

Sorry, don't understand. You mean natural scenery? Oregon has beautiful scenery everywhere, as do most western states. What does that have to do with gaydom?

Yes is is.
Google “East Dakota” and see the map, it’s the same situation.

The State of Jefferson was seriously being considered until WW2 stopped that.
Jefferson

Proposed Pacific state of Jefferson.

The State of Jefferson is a proposed U.S. state that would span the contiguous, mostly rural area of southern Oregon and Northern California, where several attempts to separate from Oregon and California, respectively, have taken place. Wikipedia

Next up, split Kalifornia into 3 separate states and then let the democrat controlled states try to survive.

No matter how they vote I just can’t see this happening.

The rats would draw the lines and we end up with 4 new Rat Senators and 2 rat Governors.

The Wallowa area is beautiful. Has places like Horse Heaven Hills. I like to think that’s where my dear departed Canadian mare is now.

That is one case. I have also read an opinion that the elites may not want to deal with the grief from the relatively small population in these counties (and low tax revenues) and just punt on the issue.

I suspect both are highly unlikely.

Counties cannot do this on their own.

They need approval from Idaho (possible), Oregon (impossible), and Congress (don’t be absurd).

The vote made Crook the thirteenth county to approve the measure, a proposal rooted in frustration with the Democrat-controlled Legislature dominated by Portland and coastal lawmakers with little knowledge or appreciation of the priorities of eastern residents.

That’s what Democrats do with power.

Hey Democraps!

This is what Democracy looks like!

But it is unlikely this effort will be successful.

Article 4 Section 3 Clause 1

New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.

Oregon’s Democrat controlled legislature is unlikely to assent to this devision of the state.

San Francisco arguably has the best scenery of any city in the world...and we lost it to them.

You're still in the mindset of someone who lives in a country with the rule of law. The commies that have infiltrated and stolen our government are not in that mindset in the slightest. Anything can be done now. One simply must have the guts to deal with the consequences.

Democracy; we don’t need no stinking democracy. We are Oregon! All of our ballots are mail in votes. Somebody must have miscounted. It will be taken care of.

You’re right. The noodle-arm fascist freaks in Portland and Salem don’t have the brains or muscle to deal with 10 break-away counties. The effort would drain the state of money and willpower.
