My ancestors were silver smiths on the island during their revolution. They wanted to settle in Quebec but couldn't wait and took first boat out of Dodge. Settled in Philadelphia and had very successful business until depression in the 1870's. Some of their pieces of silver are still on display at the Phila. Museum of Art.
