They aren’t lying. At least, they don’t believe that they are.
It’s all about the semantics of your ideals.
Since they think that open borders is a good thing, they can say with a straight face that there isn’t a problem at our border.
Since they think that illegals voting in our elections is a good thing, they can say with a straight face that asking about who can vote is ‘denialism’.
By the way, did you notice that “denial” has graduated to an “ism” now.
Covid denial. Election denial.
Now that it’s an “ism”, they can tag you with a label, not just suggest that it’s an action alone. Again, more language and semantics. Saying you did something they think is wrong isn’t as powerful as suggesting that you are something they think is wrong.
