At the end there it mentioned that GW, of the Bushitter clan was shot down and his fellow crewman WERE eaten. If I’m not mistaken, he fought in the European theater.

Biden’s uncle was listed as a currier, not a combat pilot.
He flew single engine aircraft but the aircraft for the mission in question was a Douglas twin A20 Havoc. He wasn’t even flying the A20 and was a passenger.

The aircraft never made it to New Guinea as it was forced to ditch in the Pacific and everyone but one person made it out, Sgt. Anthony Zulkus. So Biden’s uncle most likely drowned and is still listed missing because no wreckage or bodies have been recovered so he stays missing. No awards were given as it was not a combat flight.

“At the end there it mentioned that GW, of the Bushitter clan was shot down and his fellow crewman WERE eaten. If I’m not mistaken, he fought in the European theater.”

George H.W. Bush was a decorated fighter pilot of the United States Navy during World War Two, flying successful missions against Japanese military installations. He actively served in the Navy until the Japanese surrender in 1945. GW wasn’t born until 1946. GW couldn’t have reached the rudder petals. He mixed up his W’s.
