All economic theory should begin there.
The Bible clearly lays out the concept of masters and servants, and that mankind should not serve two masters.
The Bible also shows that gold and silver are not "God's money". Were they sometimes used for trade? Yes. As were a myriad of other things all throughout scripture.
It's not so much about what token is used to represent money.
Instead, it's about whether the money is debt-based (only exists by owning the future labor of others).
