About a decade ago, when I still lived in the once-golden state, thieves broke into a neighborhood mail box by prying into the outgoing mail section. Happened twice.
This new approach apparently gives the creeps keys to everything, no prying needed.
Pretty scary.

Postal Service needs to put one live rattlesnake in a random box. Don’t issue that box out to a customer. Put a sign on the box that one of them has a live rattler. In English… And Spanish.

I have noticed that many mail boxes are being fitted with thin, immovable openings . . . no doors. I wonder if that is the reason?
