Thank you for your kind words.
Many frightened-out-of-their-mind, subservient American “men” lost their testicles during the Fauci Flu debacle, resulting in their abject, disgusting failure to protect their families — their children! — from the demands and incessant ravings of the many thousands of unelected bureaucrats and of nearly all of the “experts”. Damn the lot of them!
Walmart in particular invested billions of dollars and more than a decade but had to walk away from it.
-The cost per item is too high
-The system has too many misses.
-The collision avoidance coding to avoid signals from different RFID tags isn't robust enough.
-Unlike bar codes by item which rely on individual scans of each item, RFID tags require a unique tag so that two of the same item are identified as separate purchases. That becomes an exponential supply and coding effort.
-The tags could be blocked, both intentionally and unintentionally, and items would missed from the tally.
-While you can make fake UPC codes, a cashier could identify a mismatch at the register but a recycled RFID tag on a different item doesn't pass a cashier who might detect the error/deception.
-etc.

Bad enough corporations & people believed they had some efficacy. But worse was the yelling, scolding, etc. if you didn't follow along with their beliefs.
Mario Cuomo killed more grandparents than all the non-arrow-followers put together.
That’s what happens when you follow sloppy thinking to its logical conclusion. You finally figured out what it means and don’t like it. Maybe you can try harder next time.
I shopped in a good number of commissaries in the 80s, stateside and elsewhere, and never once saw a single aisle arrow.
I can help it if you don’t get it.
