The left ensures that all government funding advances a left-wing agenda.
The right plays in accordance with the Marquess of Queensberry Rules.
The buck stops with the President.
Just like in the 60’s and 70’s. The professional Communists would get the kids organized and riled up. Torch some buildings and cars to get the police riled up, and then leave. The students (with Spring Fever) treating it like a party until the police start arresting them (or the National Guard shooting them like 54 years ago at Kent State - May 4th.)
Columbia: Fly the Palestine rag and be a coward.
Columbia: Fly the Palestine rag and be a coward.
Coward? Or complicity?
Yeah we know what this “Prof’s” agenda/political leanings are. Plus so much less work for that huge salary. Just give ‘em an A.
Which encourages the anarchists and makes things worse for the entire country as groups like this everywhere will be emboldened to ramp things up.
spoiled brats
And in another stunning display, here is a NYTimes story full of defenses and excuses for some of the arrested, professional agitators:

Law firms should cancel the summer internships for Columbia law school students who were gifted their As.
I stopped hiring from ivy league schools over 10 years ago. They have no original thoughts, cannot support their arguments with actual data and spend more time telling their teammates “the problem is” than finding solutions.
Just look at climate change. These morons keep telling us what the problem is (there isn’t one) but when asked what the solution is, more often than not wind up calling those questioning them a racist.
It is really cowardice? Or do the powers that be at Columbia really approve of the ‘Death to America’ crowd and need deniability?
“Something must be done about it.”
Eric Holder and Obama must be loving seeing their Columbia days dreams coming together
I presume Columbia management is doing what they think is best long-term financially for their university. Thats’ what I’d do.
They might not be making the correct decisions. Time will tell.
I’m not worried about the health of Universities. There will always be young people that want to learn and succeed. There will always be parents that want to help them. There will always be some places to go for post-high-school learning.
A post-high-school school doesn’t need to have expensive frills.
