Economists sounded surprised recently when inflation remained above expectations for the third straight month, likely keeping interest rates elevated for the foreseeable future. If they looked in Washington’s direction, they shouldn’t be.
Two reports from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) explain the dilemma our economy faces. In the short term, significant and persistent deficits caused by Washington’s spending keep fueling the inflationary fire. In the longer term, the debt accumulated by all those deficits will make our economy stagnant for future generations.

Everything I need to buy keeps going up in price. Gas just went up to $4 a gallon again. It was $3.89 last week. I think the idiots in Washington are doing this on purpose to lower our standard of living. Everything they do does damage to this country. They are a bunch of pigs. I can’t remember the last time they did something that was good for the American people.

Example: Ted Kennedy and Dianne Feinstein did something of great benefit to the American people, although it was at the end of their political careers.
1 trillion of debt every 90 or so days due to excessive government spending is a stubborn thing. We have to accept that it’s driving the problem.
Have you ever seen the look on some of our “ elected” officials faces when you remind them they are supposed to work for us?
As Ted Nugent calls them, they’re our “elected employees”. Somewhere along the line that idea has gotten lost in the shuffle.
