718 down to 717. It’s surprising that it’s even over 700. There are so many irresponsible people in our debt culture.

I've never been below 800 since my 40's. Before that, lots of irresponsible use of credit cards combined with the stupidity of buying brand new vehicles rather than low mileage used ones - and always for showing off to the ladies.
BMWs, the cars anyway, are huge expensive headaches. Stay away from them.

There are so many irresponsible people in our debt culture. The irresponsible people are the ones who supported offshoring our high paying tech and manufacturing jobs. Just about all of our current problems can be traced back to that.
Bidenomics? Yes, but not for the reasons many here presume. He was among the Democrats who supported MFN for China.

Don’t you have a lower credit score if you don’t use credit?
If so, that might be skewing results if more people are using cash.

The amount of debt you have versus (and your available credit) is a big part of the formula, and they’ve been saying for many months that credit card debt is rising a lot in this country, so this is no surprise at all. In fact, I’m surprised it only dropped a point.
