Was at an event once when Pence was still a Congressman but was running for Governor of Indiana. So he gave the usual BS speech that people who have been too long in Washington give. It came time for the Q&A from the crowd. This gal who was a small town Clerk Treasurer, who was from Pence’s district and knew personally, asked him what he would do if he got elected Governor to help local units of government that were being totally screwed by the recently passed legislation that froze the tax levies of local government entities. This was a huge deal for cities and towns in the state. Rather than answer the question directly he did the DC bulls!t dance.
I lost all respect for him at that point.
